Finish off summer right with some outfits that will look cute even when it's 60 degrees in the morning and 85 degrees in the afternoon.
I’m not going to lie, the space between summer and fall is not my favorite time of year. The sunny, warm memories of summers past are gone and I am in such a hurry to jump into fall because I love everything about it (like most people). So transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall never feels easy because I love my fall staples… but it’s still 85 degrees outside (as my husband often tells me when I come out of our bedroom with jeans and a sweater on).
So these times are hard for me... But I want to make them easier for you! Below I have some of my favorite end of summer looks in the hopes that we can all make it to fall still looking fab.
I love a good vintage find. I bought this dress off Instagram from Grey Dog Boutique and I'm obsessed with it. The color is beyond beautiful and the quality is unmatched (it's handmade in Guatemala. The shop owner, Molly, travels all over the world to find all her pieces). I've purchased many items on their Instagram page and love them every-time! I mean just look at those details.
Can we talk about this hat for a second? It's so comfortable and looks amazing with (I kid you not) everything. Gigi Pip also sells interchangeable leather hat bands so you can customize your look! I will be wearing this everyday. Love, love, love.
There is nothing better in the summer than a pair of Shortalls. I'm telling you I wore these 4 days in a row over 4th of July weekend... WORTH IT. I was so incredibly comfortables. These are a staple piece that you will love for years to come and Levi's are so high quality they will last as long as you need them! Also, this hat is the perfect cool girl straw hat. Now I would not call myself a cool girl, but this hat makes me feel like one. Again, staple summer wardrobe piece.
This skirt is like sunshine. There are small metallic threads running throughout it, so when it hits the light just right... dang. It's beautiful and embodies summer. Now this shirt. It's probably my favorite shirt. I wear it at least once a week (if not twice if I can get away with it). It goes with everything, it's not see-through, it's SO easy to care for. What more do you need? It's pricey, but I'm telling you, it's worth EVERY PENNY.
I found Whiskey and Wine shop on Instagram and that's when I knew true love (sorry, babe)... Every pair is hand-made by Mal and they are stunning. She has many different designs in a rainbow of colors. You can find a pair to go with any outfit. Every so often, she'll do a sample sale where she sells one of a kind pieces that didn't make it into one of her collections. You best believe I turned on Instagram notification and scored a few beautiful pairs. Just go check them out.
But also, this. Dress.
Buttery soft, oversized to hide my food baby and the perfect pink. The brand who makes the dress, Suunday, only partners with responsible factories and they strive for simple, slow fashion pieces that will last the test of time and trends. LOVE THAT. Again, the pieces are an investment, but so worth it!
I love a good buffalo plaid. Roolee does them well. I love the light, taupe color because it feels like the perfect transition piece as the days get colder. This dress is also fully lined so you don't need to worry about anyone seeing anything. Another timeliness pieces that I know I'll love for years.
Comment and let me know what some of your favorite summer pieces are!
